Mechanical Capabilities
Our mechanical department is managed and staffed by a team of highly skilled professionals who have many years experience in the gas, petroleum, and power construction and maintenance industries. The experience of our personnel includes pipelines, compressor installations, gas processing facilities, well site installations, retrofits, turnarounds, contract maintenance, custom fabrication, foundations, structural steel fabrication, large equipment installation, and painting & insulation. Our wholly owned subsidiary HOAD, Inc. is authorized by the ASME and National Board of Boilers and Pressure Vessels for the R, S, and U code stamps. A large number of our personnel are cross-trained to support other crafts on our projects, and we feel that this allows us to maintain a base crew throughout a project. Many of our personnel have worked together over fifteen years and some over twenty years. We feel this team type longevity is what makes our projects safe, more productive, on budget or under, and on schedule or ahead of schedule.

Electrical/Instrumentation Capabilities
Our electrical and instrumentation activities are conducted by a department staffed with highly skilled and qualified master and journeyman licensed electricians, many of which have been cross trained in both the electrical and instrumentation disciplines. This department also has electrical apprentices, instrument technicians, and instrument fitters. The experience of our personnel includes substations, high horsepower motors, busway, cable tray systems, conduit systems, duct systems, motor control centers, variable speed drives, soft starts, high voltage switch gear, lighting, grounding, heat trace, PLC and DCS systems, automation upgrades, loop checking, calibrations, tubing, and trouble shooting. Their construction and maintenance experience is a key factor in the success of our projects.

Management Services
Our construction and maintenance project management skills and abilities are now available on a contract basis. Elkhorn utilizes several estimating, scheduling, and planning software programs. When the capabilities of these programs are combined with the great depth of construction and maintenance experience of Elkhorn personnel, management and support of projects are greatly simplified. Safety Training, Field Safety Supervision, Programmatic Development and Consulting Services are now provided by Elkhorn Professionals.

Engineering
Elkhorn's established relationships in working closely with many of the region's and the country's most respected engineering groups can provide a head start in your project, whether you have a current relationship or require technical design assistance. Our "total involvement" concept provides assistance for constructability, construction safety, procurement, logistics, and construction economics from the earliest stages of project planning through project completion. We offer our customers assistance in a range of partnerships from consulting engineering services from Design/Build or Engineering/Procurement/Construction arrangements.
